Water Supply
Here at hilltop we have developed systems to facilitate a range of set up options, and whether your desired area has a pressurised water supply or not we have the ability to cater for your needs.
Our systems can be easily installed with hook up to your mains water supply via straightforward pipe work. With the ability for our chosen gas shower brand to work on low pressured systems you can have piece of mind that these setups will provide a reliable and efficient option.
Water bouser or storage systems can be used to provide gravity fed holding tanks or pressurised using 240 or 12 volt pumps powered of main or battery / solar powered set ups.
Soak Away (Grey and Black Water)
Grey water refers to wastewater from sources such as hand basins, showers or baths and is most generally non harmful but can contain chemicals and transmit disease if not managed correctly.
Black water refers to waste water containing feces, urine or other bodily fluids from toilets and urinals which contain harmful bacteria.
Waste water from your shower or hand basins will be classed as grey water and can be managed using a soak away / treatment plant construction method or manually plumbed into an already existing waste water system.
Local authority regulations differ from country to country and we advice seeking guidance from your local environmental officer on the most applicable set up for your needs.
The common guidance across UK countries for urine soak away positioning is 10 meters away from a water course and 50 meters away from a source of potable water (well or borehole) although this can vary across authorities and we advice gathering local information specific to your area.
